Mechanical Engineer
Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team, responsible for configuring our existing products and spearheading the design of innovative new products. As a pivotal member of our engineering department, you will apply your expertise in mechanical systems and design principles to optimize product configurations and create cutting-edge solutions that meet ever-evolving market demands.

Responsibilities:
Product Configuration
  • Analyze customer requirements and specifications to customize product configurations accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product configurations align with manufacturing capabilities, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Utilize CAD software and other tools to develop detailed product configurations and schematics.
New Product Design
  • Lead the ideation, conceptualization, and design phases for new products, from initial sketches to prototyping and testing.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate the viability and potential challenges of proposed designs.
  • Apply engineering principles and industry best practices to create innovative and marketable product designs.
Prototyping and Testing
  • Develop prototypes of new products for validation and testing purposes, iterating designs based on feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct thorough testing and analysis to ensure product reliability, durability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with testing laboratories and certification agencies to achieve necessary approvals and certifications.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for product enhancement, cost reduction, and manufacturing process optimization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor offerings to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Work to integrate new technologies and features into product designs, keeping our offerings ahead of the curve.
Documentation and Compliance
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of product designs, specifications, and configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements in all product designs and configurations.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to internal teams, external partners, and customers as needed.
Required Education
  • High school diploma required
  • Associates Degree or Certification a plus
Required Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Mastercam experience preferred, not required
  • Programming experience preferred, not required
  • Essential computer skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
Required Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
Salary
  • $85,000/year
Plastic Welder / Cabinetmaker

NOTE: We're seeking a welder experienced specifically in plastics.
(not a MIG/TIG/metal welder, not a woodworker)

Job Functions
  • Perform plastic welding operations using hot air welders
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to understand project specifications
  • Prepare materials for welding, including selecting appropriate tools and equipment
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure welded components meet specifications and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to optimize welding processes and improve product quality
  • Troubleshoot welding equipment and adjust as necessary to maintain efficiency and quality
Required Education
  • High school diploma required
  • Associates degree or certification a plus
Required Experience
  • Proven experience as a Plastic Cabinetmaker / Welder or a similar role
  • Proficiency in polypropylene welding techniques and familiarity with welding equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • A commitment to safety and quality
